STRIDE IT WITH PRIDE AND A SMILE
The best resources that we can have
As we walk along life's path
Are a sense of humor and faculty to laugh
At life's ups and downs
The world around
And at OURSELVES!
We often forget to see
That humor can certainly be
Hiding amid the clouds
That sometimes envelop us like shrouds.
Shaking them off and seeing the sun
And joking around is part of life's fun
At various times, as life goes by,
We are given a choice to laugh or cry.
Laughing is better for it gives us hope
That we can survive as we learn to cope.
If we reach the fabled "golden years"
It has not been without some bouts of tears,
And highs and lows and even fears.
But, as add the years, the world cheers!
There's a survivor over there
Who seems to have shed all cares
And woes that life meted out
And has proven their mettle without a doubt.
So, as we walk that last mile
Let's Stride it With Pride and a Smile.
